My Objectivist Book Collection

Yesterday (October 12, 2007), at the Atlas Shrugged 50th anniversary celebration event at Landmark, Infiniti Mall, a number of Ayn Rand fans were interested in knowing which books I have in my Ayn Rand/Objectivist collection (after I announced that I have a sizable collection of Objectivist books and am willing to lend them). So, I decided to put the list up as a blogpost. I have 39 titles in all, including books, audio, and video. Feel free to email me if you are interested in borrowing any of them.

Needless to say, I encourage everyone to buy these books/audios/videos; however, if any of you are unable to locate them in India and cannot afford to order them from online bookstores, do contact me. That is the main reason I wish to make these books available to Objectivists, in particular, and Ayn Rand fans, in general.

I intend to include a short description for each item, but, until then, readers may look for descriptions on the
Ayn Rand Bookstore website.

During the event, a certain person commented that I am a "worthless showoff" (no offense meant, nor taken). I disagree with adjective, but I have no problem with being called a showoff—esp. for showing off my Ayn Rand collection. It is something I prize and am very proud of. I bought most of it while I was in college, with meager savings from my pocket money, scouring the street leading from Churchgate to Flora Fountain for second-hand books.

Anyway, here it is:

If you have any doubts/questions regarding this condition, please contact me.

Owww goddd::rolls eyes::

I admit "show-off" was a tad inappropriate. Because it has connotations of, you know, the "exhibition with a sense of pride in one's possessions" kind of thing. Which is perfectly acceptable.

What I actually meant was that your announcement was highly "ostentatious".:P

Also, thanks for flaunting me on your blog; adding a link to mine would've done nicely though.

Question: Why did you not start a wordpress blog? It's loads better there!
Or at least tweak your settings so to allow anonymous comments. What if non-blogger people need to comment?

Actually, I wasn't flaunting you. I deliberately kept your identity unknown. And as I said: "no offense meant, nor taken" so no need for explanations

About the link to your blog... it's no longer needed. Your comments would serve that purpose.

About the wordpress blog, I'll do that now. I didn't know there were these annoying technical issues with blogger.
